Dashboard

Your day at a glance: today’s appointments on the left, the practice’s open tasks and lab reviews on the right, and in the Team view what everyone has done. It shows the whole practice, not only your own work.

The dashboard at a glance

Open Dashboard in the sidebar. It greets you by name and shows today’s date and the time. The switch at the top chooses what you see: Today, for the day’s appointments and the practice’s open work, or Team, for what everyone has done. The dashboard remembers your choice on each computer.

The New button at the top right starts the three things you create most often:

  • New patient opens the new patient form.
  • New appointment opens the calendar with a new booking started.
  • New task opens a new task.

Today’s schedule

Today's Schedule lists every appointment in the practice today, in time order, not only yours. Cancelled visits are left out. The number beside the title is how many visits the list shows.

Each row shows the start time and length, the patient with their father’s name and age, their main diagnosis, any notes on the appointment, and a coloured dot for the appointment type. A line runs down the left of the list and fills in as the day goes by.

Faded row
The visit is over.
Amber dotted outline
The patient did not come.
45 min free
A gap of 15 minutes or more between two visits.
End of day
The time the last visit ends.

Use All and Remaining at the top of the list. Remaining hides the visits that are over and the no-shows, so you see only who is still to come.

Along the bottom, Now shows the patient whose visit is under way and for how long, and Next up shows who comes next and in how many minutes. Click either one to see that patient. The line above them fills as the day goes on, and a count such as 3 of 8 seen says how many visits are over. It counts by the clock: nobody needs to mark a visit as seen.

Checking a patient before the visit

Click a row, or Now or Next up, to open a preview of the patient. On a wide screen it sits in the right-hand column, above the tasks; on a smaller screen it opens as a panel. Double-click a row to go straight to the patient’s folder.

Allergies come first, in a red box, so they cannot be missed. Under them is the main diagnosis and, if the patient has open tasks, a label such as 2 tasks. Click it to see those tasks and complete or discard one right there.

Today
The start and end time of the visit.
Conditions
The patient’s chronic conditions.
Medications
What the patient takes now.
Last BP
The latest blood pressure and when it was taken. It shows only when one has been recorded.
Recent labs
Up to five tests whose latest result is out of range, the most serious first.
Last visit
The date of the previous visit, or First visit if this is the first one.

A section with nothing in it says None recorded. At the foot of the preview:

  • Open visit note appears once the visit has started. It opens the visit note, and starts one if there is none yet.
  • Open patient folder opens the full chart.
  • Mark no-show records that the patient did not come. To take it back, open the visit on the calendar and press Undo no-show.
  • Cancel cancels the appointment, after asking Cancel this appointment?. Press Keep to leave it as it is.

Mark no-show and Cancel show only while the visit is still booked.

The My Issues panel

The right-hand column, My Issues, gathers the practice’s open work. Choose one of three lists at the top:

Today
The tasks for today: those with no due date, those due today or already late, and later tasks whose reminder time has come. Late tasks come first. A link at the foot, such as 3 tasks scheduled for later, adds the tasks due on later days.
Done
Every task anyone in the practice finished today, with the photo of whoever finished it. The list empties itself at midnight.
Reviews
Lab results waiting to be checked, and files healcraft is still reading, with how far it has got.

Each task card shows its title, who holds it (their photo, or a small team icon when it is Unassigned), the first line of its notes, the patient, and its labels: when it is due, its priority if that is high or low, and when it was created. Rest the mouse on a card to read it in full, and click it to open the task.

When a colleague finishes a task and sends you a note about it, the task arrives in Done with a dot, and a green number appears beside Done. Click the task to mark it read, or press Mark all read at the foot of the list.

The panel has no button of its own for new tasks: use New at the top right. Click a lab review to check the results healcraft read from the files.

Recently accessed

Under the tasks, Recently accessed keeps the patients you opened lately, one click from their folder. Point at a name and click its × to take it off, or press Clear all, the broom at the end, to empty the list once you confirm. The list is kept on this computer only.

The Team view

Switch to Team at the top to see what the practice has done. It is a shared record for the doctor and the staff: everyone sees the same page, and nobody is ranked.

Choose Today or This week (Monday to Sunday). Three numbers sum up the period:

Patients
How many different patients the team worked on.
Visit notes
How many visit notes were written.
Documents
How many reports, lab results and cultures were added.

Summary gives one card per person, with their role and what they did in plain words, such as appointments booked or visit notes written. Several small edits to the same record count once.

Log lists each change with its time, newest first. Choose Everyone or one person to narrow it, and press Show more to go further back. A patient’s name in the log opens their folder.

On a phone or tablet

  • On a phone, Today shows one list at a time. Use the switch at the top to move between Today's Schedule and My Issues. The phone remembers which one you had open.
  • Tap a visit and its preview slides up from the bottom. Open patient folder takes you to the chart from there.
  • The New button shrinks to a + at the top of the screen.
  • On a tablet, the tasks sit below the schedule instead of beside it, and the preview opens as a panel from the right.
